In the acquisition of urban property by a foreigner it is necessary to submit the CPF and passport at the time of issuance of the deed.
In the acquisition of rural property by foreigners it is necessary, beyond the presentation of the CPF and passport at the time of issuance of the deed, proof of residence in the country, and the area of the property may not exceed fifty (50) modules of exploration indefinite area in either continuous or discontinuous (module size varies according to the location of the property).
